We reckon we're more Desert Poets than Bush poets 'cos out round the Simpson Desert there's not a lot of bush!

We are pure professionals in everything we do as you can see from the two photographs below showing us in final preparations for a big show.

"We are from Innamincka where the summers there are stinkers
and the flies and dust get caught up in your neck
But we love this place called home with one shop, one pub one phone
Blink you'll miss it as you pass through on your trek!

Lodged in North-East South Australia where the roads are tough on trailers
and the rocks 'll rip your tyres to a shred
You don't need much campin' stuff, a few cold tinnies are enough
and a swag is all you need to rest your head.

You've heard of Burke and Wills, those poor departed dills
they walked up and down the Cooper passed our pub
They crossed the deserts with their camels and they took some other mammals
They had to shoot 'em so they ended up as grub!

We've got galahs and other creatures and some pretty outback features
and if you toss a line you just might catch a fish
But there ain't too many sheilas so us blokes put out the feelers
to the tourists who don't think we are so swish.

We're not poets like Henry Lawson and our rhymes sometimes we force 'em
and our rhythm leaves a lot to be desired.
But we don't care a matter, let's stop this idle chatter
If you want us and can pay us then we're hired!"
